Job Description:

This position reports to the Aerodynamics Team Leader in Maranello, Italy. Responsible for executing aerodynamic development using CFD and wind tunnel testing, mentoring team members, and assisting in wind tunnel model preparation, testing quality, data analysis, and CAD work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication among personnel and departments.
  • Enhance aerodynamic development methodologies to improve car performance.
  • Participate in wind tunnel testing and coordinate all necessary aspects.
  • Analyze aerodynamic models and synthesize design alternatives.
  • Mentor and guide team members.
  • Maintain procedures and test plans.
  • Document test parts accurately and develop aerodynamic analysis tools.
  • Follow all safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required; Engineering degree in Aerodynamics or similar preferred. Minimum 6 years of professional motorsports experience.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Technical expertise in racing cars, CFD, and CAD software (especially CATIA/3DX).
  • Understanding of aerodynamics, fluid analysis, thermodynamics, structural analysis, and vehicle dynamics.
  • Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and work well in teams.
Equipment and Applications:
  • Microsoft Office, engineering packages, wind tunnel, hand tools, fabrication tools, CAD expertise.
  • Data acquisition experience is beneficial.
Work Environment:

High-pressure, time-sensitive environment with occasional travel. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity, and working around machinery and hazardous fluids. Compliance with health and safety policies is mandatory.
