Job Description

We have a rare opportunity for a Senior Aero Performance Engineer to join the Aero Performance group at Enstone. This position will play a crucial role in helping us push for podiums and race wins.

The Role

In this role, you will be expected to contribute directly to optimising our aerodynamic package, leading aero performance projects and overseeing the contributions from other team members.

You will take complete ownership of track testing projects covering a wide range of aero performance and correlation topics, liaising with aerodynamicists and trackside engineers.

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading and coordinating aero performance projects supported by track and/or simulator tests
  2. Liaising with race engineering to support race events, including preparation activities
  3. Analysing track test results, offering performance directions and assessing correlation
  4. Supporting all aspects of aero performance optimisation
  5. Overseeing correlation studies in wind tunnel and CFD to support methodology improvements
  6. Mentoring and developing direct reports and junior team members
  7. Contributing to the development of aero analysis tools, methodologies and instrumentation

The Person

We are looking for an individual with previous experience in formula 1 or a closely related motorsport category with a proven track record in either aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics or performance engineering.

You understand the importance of committing to deadlines and keeping stakeholders informed.

This position demands strong teamwork and decision-making abilities. Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential.

The position is factory based with ability to work from home a day per week. You could be required to travel and support race and test events from the factory and track.
