WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER

The Impact Finance & Markets division at TNC provides strategic leadership to create impact with the private sector by translating the value of nature and conservation into actionable, science-based strategies that address societal challenges. The Corporate Engagement Advisor, Finance and Investors, is part of the Corporate Engagement Business Unit within this division.

The Zero Conversion Commodities team works with companies in food and agriculture sectors to eliminate deforestation and land conversion in supply chains. Global investors and financial institutions are increasingly engaged in addressing these risks and supporting sectoral transitions. TNC aims to deepen engagement with these financial entities to share knowledge and accelerate action. This role supports the Zero Conversion Commodity Strategy through engagement with the finance sector, investor forums, and NGOs to raise awareness, support private sector engagement, and expand investments in decarbonizing food production. The scope may expand to other conservation strategies.

The Senior Advisor, Investor Engagement, reports to the Managing Director, Corporate Engagement, and advises on strategy development with the finance and investment sectors while supporting TNC’s efforts to eliminate deforestation in supply chains.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU

The Senior Advisor develops and implements strategies to engage asset owners, managers, banks, forums, and NGOs related to Zero Conversion Commodity goals. Responsibilities include strategy development, project management, and maintaining regular contact with financial sector representatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

  • Manage influence strategy development and execution with the finance sector.
  • Build and manage relationships with senior staff of financial institutions and NGOs.
  • Support engagement efforts with senior executives and forums.
  • Coordinate with the Zero Conversion Commodity team on target companies and messaging.
  • Develop and manage departmental budget within guidelines.
  • Serve as a program manager for assigned projects.
  • Act as SME for investor engagement and support teams working with financial industry.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, environmental policy, business, or related field, with 6 years of senior management experience.
  • Experience building relationships across organizations and with external partners.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with executives and officials.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills.
  • Experience developing strategies from concept to maturity.
  • Experience negotiating high-profile agreements.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Team player with experience working in multidisciplinary groups.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work remotely.

SALARY INFORMATION

The position can be based in any country where TNC operates, considering legal restrictions. The U.S. salary range is approximately $120,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on location and experience. For other countries, salary ranges are in local currency and based on local markets.
