Senior Advisor: Human Resources
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Advisor to join our HR department in our London office. This role reports to the Senior Manager: Human Resources and offers standard hours from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, with flexibility based on business needs. Our current work-from-home policy permits two days remote work, which is subject to change and not contractual.
Purpose of the role: To collaborate closely with the Advisory team, providing proactive HR services across the firm's Practice Groups, Business Services, and Secretarial teams in London and Dubai. The role requires a strategic and hands-on HR professional supporting areas like employee relations, performance management, talent development, and policy implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the secretarial client group, including ER issues, performance management, compensation cycles, and workforce planning.
- Oversee the apprentice program, liaising with departments, training providers, and acting as the first point of contact for ER issues.
- Manage sickness absence cases, working with HR team members to ensure proper escalation, support, and health engagement.
- Handle probation issues, including documentation and supporting line managers.
- Provide guidance on family leave policies, employment law, and manage related procedures and documentation.
- Oversee consultant engagement, including contracts, IR35 compliance, invoicing, and contractual governance.
- Review and recommend improvements to policies and procedures based on feedback and best practices.
- Support disciplinary, capability, and grievance processes, including meeting facilitation and documentation.
- Assist with performance issues, including drafting improvement plans.
- Manage the annual performance review process and related communications.
- Support salary review and bonus processes.
- Coordinate with departments on staffing needs and recruitment activities.
- Conduct exit interviews and identify trends for HR insights.
- Maintain knowledge of immigration processes, ensuring compliance and supporting visa applications.
- Deliver inductions for new employees.
- Collaborate with payroll for pay-related actions.
- Participate in diversity, wellbeing, and graduate recruitment initiatives.
- Contribute to personal development and mentor junior HR team members.
Qualifications:
Educated to A Level standard; CIPD qualification is desirable.
Experience, Skills, and Attributes:
- Proven HR support experience in a service environment, both administrative and advisory.
- Strong understanding of employment law and workplace application.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Team-oriented with minimal guidance required.
