Job summary

Cambridgeshire County Council seeks an experienced Social Worker to join the Adolescent Service in Cambridge as a Senior Practitioner on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will manage a small caseload of vulnerable youths aged 12+, lead the team, mentor staff, and liaise with partners to implement Families First reforms.

The role requires a registered Social Worker with SW England, flexibility to travel countywide, and the ability to work across multiple locations with a trauma-informed

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
• Experience in statutory social work settings is expected.
• Ability to travel countywide independently and work from multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Adolescent South Team and mentor colleagues.
• Visit children at home or in the community, attend meetings, and complete written tasks.
• Support the Team Manager and contribute to new pathways for children at risk.
