Senior Admissions Assistant – University of Wolverhampton

The role involves supporting students' pathways to the International Study Centre at the University of Wolverhampton by carrying out administrative duties, ensuring a professional and customer-focused service throughout their journey. The postholder will be part of the University’s Admissions team, which provides advice and guidance to support recruitment, application processing, and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process student applications efficiently, ensuring all applications are processed to CAS stage and referrals are managed appropriately.
- Respond to enquiries from applicants, colleagues, and partners, maintaining confidentiality and high service standards.
- Maintain good relationships with partners and internal teams to ensure smooth transfer of application information.
- Manage student records accurately on SITS and generate reports as needed.
- Provide information on admissions procedures and deadlines, directing enquiries to relevant services.
- Contribute to team meetings, reviews, and initiatives.
- Support application processes and liaise with Malvern International staff globally.
- Assist at admissions events and assessments.
- Assess fee status according to UKCISA regulations and advise applicants and staff accordingly.
- Maintain SITS system data from application to enrollment, ensuring compliance with UKVI and data protection laws.
- Participate in training sessions and review processes to improve service quality.
- Support recruitment activities such as Open Days and Clearing.
- Assist in detecting student fraud and other compliance activities.
- Work under pressure during peak periods to ensure timely processing of applications.
- Prepare admissions reports and review entry requirements.
- Manage referrals and monitor application trends, providing feedback to relevant staff.
- Support students through the enrollment process both pre- and post-arrival.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Minimum of A Level or equivalent; Degree preferred.
- GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Interest in student administration and experience with IT systems including MS Office, SITS, e:Vision, or similar.
- Experience in reporting data and working within regulatory frameworks.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
