Senior Administrator - YorQuit Study (Lung Cancer Screening Team)

We are seeking highly organised and motivated Study Support Workers with clerical/administrative experience to join the clinical administration service to support a newly commissioned research study embedded into the YorQuit Study ( Lung Cancer Screening Service.)

The YorQuit study is a randomised controlled trial, funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research, which will explore the effectiveness of various smoking cessation approaches for patients attending community-based lung cancer screening programmes in Hull & East Riding.

As a Study Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of the study. You will be expected to work flexibly, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth coordination between study participants and smoking cessation practitioners. Full training will be provided to help you succeed in your role.

The post available is I full time on a fixed term 24 month contract. Whilst the core hours of the role will be Mondays to Friday, 8:30 - 1700 with 1 hour unpaid lunch, the candidate will need to be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of our patients

Please note, the successful candidate will be required to travel as part of the role so must have access to your own vehicle, along with appropriate insurance. Main duties of the job

You will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of the study in Hull & East Riding. Your responsibilities will include identifying potential study participants through collaboration with lung cancer screening team, providing very brief advice to quit smoking over the telephone, and traveling to participants' homes to collect carbon monoxide (CO) readings. Additionally, you will, manage study documentation, and ensure informed consent is obtained.

You will be expected to work flexibly, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth coordination between study participants and smoking cessation practitioners. Full training will be provided to help you succeed in your role.
