A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Administrator to join a respected and forward-thinking consultancy based in central London. This part-time position up to 24 hours a week offers variety, autonomy, and impact — supporting business operations while leading a small but vital admin team.
Reporting into the Finance Director, the successful individual will oversee a team of two and play a key role in improving internal processes, managing daily office operations, and providing PA-level support across business projects.

About the Company:
This role sits within a well-established and respected environmental consultancy group, known for its work in air quality, noise, climate strategy, environmental policy, and sustainability consulting. With offices across the UK and Europe, the group brings together technical experts and thought leaders to deliver innovative, cross-disciplinary solutions that support both public and private sector clients. Recognised as a Top 25 player in the UK’s environmental and sustainability consulting landscape, the business is driven by core values of collaboration, integrity, and community — making it a fantastic place to grow a purposeful career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the business support team
  • Oversee workload allocation, inbox management, and process improvements
  • Provide high-level support on business projects, bids, and documentation
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal audits (ISO 9001 & 14001) and H&S documentation
  • Deliver proactive office management – including scheduling, supplies, facilities coordination, and guest reception
  • Assist the senior leadership team with diary coordination and occasional travel planning
  • Support the wider team with formatting and editing technical documents and reports

Ideal Profile:
  • Strong background in business support, office management or administration
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring others
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and document formatting skills
  • Confident user of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, SharePoint); familiarity with Power Automate is a plus
  • A team player who’s proactive, solutions-focused, and calm under pressure
  • Comfortable working solely in-office and collaborating across teams

What’s On Offer:
  • Competitive salary (pro-rata)
  • Part-time, consistent working pattern: 4 days a week, 6 hours per day
  • Meaningful, varied work in a values-led organisation
  • Enhanced pension, private healthcare, wellbeing support & more
  • Career growth opportunities within a supportive and collaborative culture
  • Office located in a vibrant central London location

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys creating structure, leading with confidence, and playing an integral role in a growing, mission-driven organisation.
