Job Description:

Our client, a reputable financial services firm, is looking for a seasoned Senior Administrator - Client Accountant - Private Client to join their team in Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will carry out assigned tasks effectively and to a high standard, ensuring the team meets service delivery deadlines.

Essential Skills/Experience:
  1. Part Qualified accountant or equivalent.
  2. Fund accounting experience.
  3. Strong bookkeeping skills.
  4. Good IT skills - working knowledge of Excel is essential.
  5. Strong analytical skills.
  6. Very good attention to detail.
  7. Good numeracy.
Core Responsibilities:
  1. Manual entry bookkeeping transactions from client bank/portfolio statements and review of automated bookkeeping for bank/portfolio accounts with a transactional data feed into the client ledger.
  2. Raise and resolve any queries on a timely basis and liaise with other team members or the client to ensure timely resolution of matters arising within the required deadlines.
  3. Maintenance of accurate information in key systems, this could include bank statements, transactions, bookkeeping, preparing the financials and pack or accounting records for a portfolio of clients.
  4. Actively participate in calls/meetings with the client to discuss matters arising and the tracking of work against deliverable schedule.
  5. Responsible for work on more complex entities/areas.
  6. Preparation of information for the client, which may include portfolio information, bookkeeping, Trial Balances or financial statements and/or liquidation account.
  7. Adhere to core values and expected behaviours.
  8. Provide support to junior team members and the team Manager as and when required.
  9. Any other duties as deemed necessary by Management.
