Breckland Alliance Primary Care Network is seeking an experienced Senior Administrator to join the team in Thetford, Norfolk. The role will support the PCN Business Manager and Clinical Director, maintain policies and risk registers, and help drive digital transformation across the PCN.

You will organise meetings, produce external communications, assist with HR and recruitment, and help ensure high standards of confidentiality and data handling.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a PCN or primary care team is desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good understanding of governance, confidentiality and data handling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial and clerical support to the PCN team including the Clinical Director and PCN Business Manager.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Administrator to join a dynamic and forward-looking Primary Care Network (PCN), based in Thetford, Norfolk. We are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working, and caring person to support the continued growth and development of Breckland Alliance PCN. The role is interesting and varied, and provides an excellent career development opportunity. Undertaking a variety of administrative and compliance duties including the provision of secretarial and clerical support to our Primary Care Network (PCN) team including Clinical Director and PCN Business Manager Supporting the PCN Business Manager to maintain policy and procedure documents and risk registers Assisting with the review of compliance standards across the PCN Demonstrating a positive attitude towards digital transformation, with a willingness to learn and utilise emerging technologies, including Microsoft Copilot and AI agents Seeking opportunities to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks, enhance productivity and support modern ways of working Organisation of meetings including agenda formation, minutes and accurate record keeping Producing external communications, including via social media, in respect of PCN activities Administration support of PCN services such as, but not limited to, Vasectomy service and Travel Vaccines Maintaining high standards of communication across the PC Arranging training courses for the PCN, including booking and communicating invitations appropriately Monitoring email inboxes daily, disseminating information across the PCN Assist with HR and recruitment across the Breckland Alliance (advertising, interview set-up, references, inductions, appraisals, etc.) Assisting with shared staff annual leave and other absence Undertaking any other additional duties reasonable to the role, as requested by the PCN Manager and/or PCN Clinical Director

1. Confidentiality

They may also have access to information relating to the PCN as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential. Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the PCN may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.

2. Health and Safety

The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others health, safety and security as defined in the practice Health & Safety Policy, to include: Using personal security systems within the workplace according to practice guidelines Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards Reporting potential risks identified

4. Personal/Professional Development

The post-holder will participate in any training programme implemented by the PCN as part of this employment, such training to include: Participation in an annual individual performance review, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/or professional development Taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work. Attend annual mandatory up-dates on Fire Safety, Resuscitation and Safe Lifting.
