Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a Band 6 Senior Addiction Nurse for its Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service. This role involves working closely with a large team to support patients with complex drug and alcohol issues while providing supervision to junior staff. Candidates should be registered Mental Health Nurses with relevant experience in addiction settings and possess strong communication and motivation skills. This is a permanent position with competitive hours.

Qualifications

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Addiction Nurse within Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service. Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service is committed to providing high quality care using an integrated model of care delivery. You would be working as part of a large team dealing with complex patients with drug and alcohol problems and associated physical and mental health problems. You will assume a supervisory role with junior members of staff. You will be expected to work closely with Children and Families and Criminal Justice Services amongst others. You should be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills.

A First Level Registered Mental Health Nurse with post registration experience working within an addiction setting at Band 5 is highly desirable.
