Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Nurse or AHP to lead an acute spinal cord injury (SCI) care network. The role involves clinical leadership, assessment, education and regional support for SCI patients, families and healthcare professionals.

You will manage a complex caseload, influence service development and deliver education programmes across the Midlands. Travel across the region, autonomous working with MDTs and contribution to quality

Qualifications

• Experienced nurse or AHP with post-registration experience in acute SCI care.
• Advanced clinical reasoning skills and a strong commitment to education and service improvement.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with senior clinicians and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership, assessment, education and support for patients with acute SCI and their families across the region.
• Manage a complex caseload and drive service development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Deliver education programmes and support regional MDTs, audits and research activities to improve patient pathways.
