Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust in Slough is seeking an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Acute Medicine Team across the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit. You will contribute to the 0-72-hour pathway, providing timely assessment and intervention early in a patient’s admission.

Working with Occupational Therapy and the wider MDT, you will help maintain mobility and independence, reduce hospital deconditioning and support safe discharge, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• HCPC Registered
• Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
• Evidence of continued CPD with varied evidence.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality physiotherapy services, assessing and treating patients, including those with complex needs, using evidence-based practice.
• Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, formulate individualised management and treatment plans, and implement a range of specialised interventions.
• Maintain professional and legal accountability for all aspects of clinical practice, including accurate patient documentation and adherence to professional guidelines.
• Demonstrate expertise in clinical governance and risk management, ensuring that treatment plans are supported by current evidence.
• Utilise advanced manual techniques and therapeutic handling, often requiring moderate physical effort.
• Stay abreast of developments within the speciality, analyse current research, and implement changes in clinical practice.
• Safely use and ensure the maintenance of physiotherapy equipment, adhering to departmental policies.
• Participate in 7 day working, weekend rotas, emergency on call rotas and extended days as per rotation service need.
