Job summary

Just Group plc seeks a Senior Actuary to join the Internal Model team, supporting the Head of Internal Model and Director of Capital Management. You will help manage and develop risk-based capital models across the Group, aligning with regulatory standards and driving data, documentation, and validation rigor.

The role focuses on capital management, model calibration, and collaboration with Investments, ALM and Pricing to deliver robust outcomes and timely insights for the Group CRO.

Qualifications

• Understanding of a life insurer's balance sheet and capital requirements.
• Understanding of business processes within a life insurance company.
• Ability to manage defined projects with focus on efficient delivery.
• Experience using technology to innovate and improve processes.
• Recent experience of Solvency II/UK as applied to UK life insurers.
• Experience with statistical and stochastic models or internal model methodologies.
• Experience delivering practical solutions to complex technical issues.
• Ability to assess materiality and guide actions.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Internal Model and Director of Capital Management in managing and measuring the Group's capital position.
• Develop and maintain the Internal Model using new technologies to support Solvency II/UK, IFRS and US GAAP balance sheets and ORSA.
• Ensure fully-documented Internal Model complies with Solvency II tests and standards.
• Lead first line Internal Model validation activities and respond to validation findings.
• Develop methodology and deliver capital impact assessments for Group projects.
• Promote Internal Model usage across Investments, ALM and Pricing.
• Collaborate to create BAU processes and provide timely information to the business.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Drive Internal Model improvements and tool transformations.
