Job summary

The Emerald Group is seeking a Senior Reserving Consultant (Controls) in the UK to manage high-quality reserving controls overseeing the reserve review and booking processes. The role covers London, Horsham and Liverpool with senior leadership responsibility within the Corporate Actuarial team.

You will ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards, design enhanced controls, and collaborate with Group Financial Control and external partners to uplift the controls framework.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with relevant general insurance reserving experience.
• Experience with controls documentation and professional standards.
• Ability to lead and supervise the controls delivery of the Corporate Actuarial team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality actuarial general insurance reserving controls for the reserve review and booking processes.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, regulatory standards, IFC policies and principles; complete controls documentation.
• Collaborate with Group Financial Control, external consultants and business partners to design and operate improved actuarial controls.
• Lead and supervise the controls delivery of the Corporate Actuarial team.
• Experience with IBM Blueworks for process documentation is an advantage.
