  6. Reserving Studies: Lead reserving projects for captives and small/medium sized commercial non-life insurance companies, communicating the findings to stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  7. Risk Assessment and Quantification & ORSA processes: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop models to quantify risks in line with Solvency II standards. Assist clients in developing and implementing their Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) processes, including the preparation of ORSA reports.
  8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with client teams, including finance, risk management, and compliance, to ensure a cohesive approach to Solvency II implementation.
  9. Training and Development: Share knowledge and experience with team members and clients on Solvency II-related topics. Play a lead role in SRS’s Solvency II development streams, ensuring continued compliance with any regulatory updates. Attend training and CPD events.
  10. Actuarial Consulting: Consult and advise on a range of actuarial offerings for captives and commercial insurance companies to include Risk Finance Optimisation and Multi-Line/Year modelling.
  11. Peer Reviews: Conduct peer-reviews over a range of actuarial offerings.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Strong academic record including a numerical degree at a minimum of bachelor level (or equivalent). Full professional qualification (e.g., IFoA or similar). A member in good standing of an actuarial institute (e.g., IFoA or similar).

Programming skills (e.g., R, Python, VBA).

Required Experience:

  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
  • A supportive and collaborative environment.
