About the Role:

The Senior Analyst (Reserving Control) will manage the reserving process, ensuring timely analyses and reporting to stakeholders. Responsibilities include designing, delivering, developing, and maintaining core processes in the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate quarterly US GAAP reserving process across all LII/LMRe units.
  • Support coordination of the reserving process, managing calendars and data readiness.
  • Deliver the reserving process, managing key files, systems, and databases.
  • Ensure process robustness and control.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and fit-for-purpose deliverables.
  • Develop and improve reserving processes and tools, supporting process transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on reserving process questions.
  • Provide high-quality professional service with technical rigor, transparency, and consistency.
  • Supervise and support junior analysts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and demonstrate appropriate behaviours.

Skills and Experience:

  • Nearly or newly qualified actuary (or non-actuarial with good reserving knowledge).
  • Experience in London Market reserving; knowledge of specialty (re)insurance portfolios.
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced MS Excel; experience with SQL, Power BI, R, Python is a plus.
  • Analytical problem solver with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Growth mindset, motivated, and committed to learning.
  • Ability to adapt during change and transformation.
