Our client, Aspen, is seeking a pricing model developer to join their Pricing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic objectives of the company by delivering high-quality actuarial services and solving complex technical challenges. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and enhancing tools and analytical reports, as well as undertaking data analysis to shape potential solutions. The role requires strong collaboration skills to interact with stakeholders within and outside the Actuarial team.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Analyst in Pricing Model Development at Aspen, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the priorities of the Actuarial team. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the preparation and implementation of modelling team plans, delivering key actuarial projects, and providing high-quality actuarial services. You will also be expected to build and maintain positive relationships with various internal functions such as Underwriters, Finance, Claims, Ceded Reinsurance. Your ability to gather information effectively and prioritise assigned actuarial projects will be crucial for your success in this role.

  • Contribute to the preparation and implementation of the Modelling team plans
  • Deliver key Actuarial projects in line with Actuarial strategic vision
  • Perform, analyse and document conclusions to assist Actuarial management with business decisions
  • Provide appropriate level of documentation and training to all users of actuarial work
  • Contribute to improving the Aspen actuarial process
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with Underwriters, Finance, Claims, Ceded Reinsurance, and other internal functions
  • Gather information and contribute to prioritisation of assigned actuarial projects

You have proven your capability in applying industry knowledge in shaping actuarial strategy. Your understanding of coding, database design & effective process flow sets you apart from others. You are proficient in programming languages such as VBA, SQL, Python, C#, R etc., which is advantageous for this role. Your excellent communication/interpersonal skills enable you to build strong relationships with stakeholders. Your ability to organise work to meet deadlines is commendable.
