Job Description
We’re currently recruiting for a Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary to join our Group Actuarial team as a Senior Actuarial Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the production and consolidation of financial reporting results across L&G’s insurance businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of metrics, including IFRS 17 and Solvency II, and to contribute to the continuous improvement of our reporting systems and processes.
This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing flexibility between home and our offices in Hove or Moorgate, London, to support work-life balance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Producing quarterly Solvency II reporting of Technical Provisions
- Forecasting the Transitional Measure on Technical Provisions (TMTP) monthly
- Assisting in the calculation of TMTP sensitivities quarterly
- Supporting IFRS17 Risk Adjustment process, including Provisions for Adverse Deviation (PADs)
- Collating reporting assumptions for disclosures and analyses
- Supporting development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting systems
- Building relationships with key stakeholders
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders
- Producing management information for senior review
- Supporting ad-hoc investigations with data, analysis, and insights
Who we’re looking for:
- Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary
- Familiarity with Solvency II
- Knowledge of actuarial liability reporting and analysis
- Experience in data and financial analysis techniques
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement
- Effective time management and delivery skills
- Problem-solving abilities and innovative approaches
