Job Description

We’re currently recruiting for a Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary to join our Group Actuarial team as a Senior Actuarial Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the production and consolidation of financial reporting results across L&G’s insurance businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of metrics, including IFRS 17 and Solvency II, and to contribute to the continuous improvement of our reporting systems and processes.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing flexibility between home and our offices in Hove or Moorgate, London, to support work-life balance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing quarterly Solvency II reporting of Technical Provisions
  • Forecasting the Transitional Measure on Technical Provisions (TMTP) monthly
  • Assisting in the calculation of TMTP sensitivities quarterly
  • Supporting IFRS17 Risk Adjustment process, including Provisions for Adverse Deviation (PADs)
  • Collating reporting assumptions for disclosures and analyses
  • Supporting development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting systems
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders
  • Producing management information for senior review
  • Supporting ad-hoc investigations with data, analysis, and insights

Who we’re looking for:

  • Nearly or Newly Qualified Actuary
  • Familiarity with Solvency II
  • Knowledge of actuarial liability reporting and analysis
  • Experience in data and financial analysis techniques
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement
  • Effective time management and delivery skills
  • Problem-solving abilities and innovative approaches
