Job description

Senior Actuarial Analyst - Capital Reporting, London

We’re recruiting for a Senior Capital Reporting Analyst to join us. We’re offering a competitive salary, great benefits, and the opportunity to support the delivery of effective, efficient, and accurate Solvency II reporting for our Institutional Retirement division.

This role offers the chance to contribute to the production of financial results, including relevant analysis and commentary, and to disseminate financial information to various stakeholders.

This is a hybrid working role, allowing flexibility between home and our London office in Moorgate.

What you'll be doing:

• Producing quarterly and ad-hoc recalculations of the Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR)
• Validating and analyzing internal model results, including impacts of IM changes and model calibration & validation
• Conducting stress & scenario testing on our capital position
• Recalibrating proxy models for SCR recalculations
• Maintaining and developing proxy modelling processes and controls
• Supporting prioritization and scheduling of reporting and process improvements
• Implementing process and methodology changes for improved accuracy
• Building and maintaining effective relationships across the business

Who we're looking for:

• Nearly or newly qualified actuary with life insurance experience
• Experience in Solvency II capital reporting, stress & scenario testing, and/or ALM
• Understanding of Solvency II metrics, matching adjustment, and the regulatory environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and challenge results
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience reviewing processes and implementing improvements
• Knowledge of UK Pension Risk Transfer is a plus
• Proficiency in Python or R is advantageous
