Job summary

Brit Insurance is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support the Group’s reserving functions and help improve processes. You will work with Reserving Managers to develop robust models, ensure documentation is thorough and present clear results and insights to stakeholders.

You’ll undertake reserving analysis for allocated segments, calculate best estimate reserves and currency allocations, and contribute to quarterly reserve reviews and committee discussions.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll support our Reserving Managers with the development and continuous improvement of the Group’s reserving process, helping to ensure our models are efficient, well documented and add real value. You’ll investigate opportunities to produce stronger insights, then help design, build and test practical improvements to our processes and models.

You’ll undertake reserving analysis for allocated business segments, using appropriate techniques to calculate best estimate reserves and currency allocations. Working with actuaries, analysts and colleagues across the Group, you’ll help deliver efficient and robust quarterly reserve reviews. You’ll also document and present clear results, key insights, recommendations, uncertainties and limitations for stakeholders, including the Reserving Committee.
