Penguin Recruitment is proud to be working with a leading independent environmental consultancy to recruit a Senior or Principal Acoustic Consultant for their growing renewables team in Leeds.

The Role

Based in Leeds, you'll take a key role in delivering environmental acoustic assessments for renewable energy projects - including wind, solar, and battery storage developments. You will:

  • Lead or support acoustic modelling and reporting for EIA and DCO applications
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on planning strategies
  • Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders
  • Contribute to tool development and team mentoring
  • Deliver high-quality outputs that support planning success
About You

We're looking for a motivated consultant with:

  • Experience in environmental acoustics (renewables)
  • Strong technical, modelling, and reporting skills
  • Knowledge of UK noise regulations and planning systems
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to manage projects independently
  • A full UK driving licence

Chartered status or a postgraduate qualification is desirable but not essential.
