Job description

Intermediate to Senior Acoustic Consultant - East Midlands

A specialist UK-based Environmental and Engineering Consultancy, is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Acoustic Consultant with 1-5+ years' experience to join a growing team based in the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for an acoustics professional looking to take the next step in their career within a dedicated, in-person consultancy environment.

Essential Criteria:

* BSc or MSc in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

* 1-5+ years' experience working for a UK-based consultancy.

* Proven experience in environmental and/or building acoustics.

* Strong technical reporting and analysis skills.

* Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.

Desirable Criteria:

* Proficiency in noise modelling software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN).

* Familiarity with EIA processes and planning regulations.

* Membership of the IOA or working toward chartership.

The Role:

You will be involved in a wide range of acoustics projects across sectors such as infrastructure, planning, and construction. This is a full-time, office-based role in the East Midlands, suited for those ready to commit to a collaborative, non-remote team structure. You'll contribute to project delivery, client liaison, modelling, reporting, and mentoring junior staff as you progress.
