Senior Acoustic Consultant - Alton - £45,000 to £60,000 + Benefits

A specialist UK-based Acoustic and Environmental Consultancy is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join its growing team in Alton, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced acoustics professional to take the lead on a wide range of building and environmental acoustics projects across the South of England.

Essential Requirements:

*

A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.

*

5+ years' experience in acoustic consultancy.

*

Strong technical knowledge in building or environmental acoustics.

*

Proficiency with acoustic modelling software (e.g., CadnaA, SoundPLAN, Odeon, or CATT).

*

A full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience:

*

Chartered status or working towards it (e.g., MIOA).

*

Experience in delivering BS4142, BS8233, BB93, and ProPG assessments.

*

Comfortable managing projects from start to finish, including liaising with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

*

Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to internal training.

The Role:

You will be responsible for leading a variety of acoustics projects, with the opportunity to shape technical approaches and contribute to business development. Projects span sectors including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting and overseeing noise surveys and on-site measurements.

Acoustic modelling, data analysis, and technical reporting.

Managing client relationships and project delivery.

Mentoring junior team members and contributing to quality assurance.
