In the Energy & Industrials team at Burson, we tell the stories of changemakers at the center of this complex, global challenge. Our clients range from start-ups to some of the world’s most recognizable brands. They are spread across industries – energy, recycling, mobility, and manufacturing – but with a common goal of achieving a lower-carbon, sustainable, and more transparent world.

Our team combines deep sector knowledge with a breadth of communications disciplines, rooted in insight, to change behaviors, shape reputation, and drive value.

We are proud of the work we do, supporting clients such as Baker Hughes, Hitachi, EnBW, E.ON, BSI, Mura, and Rockwool. This role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced and dynamic team of 25+ who are passionate about the energy transition and keen to deliver integrated communications work, spanning corporate and B2B comms, public affairs, digital, and social.

THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The team is looking to recruit a Senior Account Executive with a passion for energy who will be a central team member across a number of our priority client accounts. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading on day-to-day media liaison, developing solid media relationships and managing proactive and reactive media requests.
  2. Developing press materials, from press releases and blogs to Q&As and briefing documents, with a high level of attention to detail.
  3. Managing junior client relationships, developing a strong rapport with your day-to-day contact.
  4. Copywriting, including articles, social content, monitoring and policy papers, project proposals, presentations, and wider forms of communications content.
  5. Overseeing the creation of coverage and activity reports for clients.
  6. Attending and contributing to ideas in internal brainstorms.
  7. Monitoring and keeping abreast of relevant industry news in order to build an understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and how they impact clients.
  8. Account management and the ability to keep client workstreams on track and delivered on time.

OUR LONDON OFFICE
Burson employs over 450 people in the UK, and our stunning Southwark offices run over two floors as part of the larger WPP Campus, Rose Court. We have access to a beautiful roof terrace with panoramic views across London and a bar/restaurant area, which is a great spot for client meetings and socializing with the wider agency and other parts of WPP.
