Job summary

Wade Macdonald is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable professional to join a small, collaborative finance team for a temporary-to-permanent role in London. You will manage invoices, run payment cycles and support month-end activities, with only one day per month in the office.

The role requires strong purchase ledger knowledge, excellent attention to detail and dependable, organised delivery under tight deadlines. Immediate start is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing supplier invoices from receipt through to payment.
• Processing and checking invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Responding to supplier queries and maintaining relationships.
• Ensuring accounts payable records are accurate and up to date.
• Supporting month-end activities relating to the purchase ledger.
• Collaborating with colleagues across the wider finance function.
• Identifying and resolving outstanding or aged items.
• Providing additional support to the finance team when required.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join a small, collaborative finance team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. The role requires someone who can become productive quickly, take ownership of their workload and help ensure the smooth running of the accounts payable function.

Duties will include:

• Managing supplier invoices from receipt through to payment
• Processing and checking invoices accurately and efficiently
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
• Preparing and processing supplier payment runs
• Responding to supplier queries and maintaining positive relationships
• Ensuring accounts payable records are accurate and up to date

• Working closely with colleagues across the wider finance function

• Providing additional support to the finance team when required

About the Successful Applicant

You will be an experienced Accounts Payable professional with strong purchase ledger knowledge and excellent attention to detail. Comfortable working within a small team, you will be organised, dependable and confident managing competing priorities. Strong communication and Excel skills are important. You must be immediately available or able to start at very short notice.
