Armstrong Knight is seeking a proactive assistant in Accounts & General Practice to work closely with a Client Manager and a busy professional team in London. You will deliver a full range of services to a diverse client base, including OMBs and mid-sized entities, using cloud platforms and traditional software.

You will handle accounts preparation, VAT, and tax work, liaise with clients and HMRC, and support junior staff in a collaborative, close-knit office environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting audit and accounts preparation for small to medium clients is advantageous.
• Strong communication and organisation skills are essential.
• Familiarity with cloud accounting platforms (e.g. Xero, IRIS, SAGE) is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Assist Client Manager with portfolio of audit and OMB clients.
• Prepare and work on accounts for various client types (Ltd, Sole Trader, Partnership).
• Input data into Iris and other accounting systems (FreeAgent, Xero, SAGE, QuickBooks).
• Assist with corporation tax and self-assessment return preparation.
• Attend client meetings and liaise with HMRC as needed.
• Support junior team members and help manage workloads and deadlines.
• Develop client relationships and respond to queries related to accounts, tax, or VAT.
