Job description

Summary
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic apprentice to join a fast-growing utilities company within the Construction Industry. Running both the purchase ledger & sales ledger.

Wage: £28,080 a year

Training course: Professional accounting or taxation technician (level 4)

Hours: Monday - Wednesday 8:30am - 5pm, Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 4pm. One hour lunch break.
40 hours a week

Possible start date: Tuesday 22 April

Duration: 1 year 6 months

Positions available: 1

Work: Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

  • Manage purchase ledger.
  • Gain experience with construction only tax schemes.
  • Gain experience with IFRS15 contract accounting.

About this company
BGS Utilities are a growing Multi Utility company based in Warrington. We install electricity, water and gas networks for new build housing and commercial developments. We are looking for someone to work within our finance team to manage both the Purchase and Sales ledger. The candidate will take overall responsibility and ownership for both ledgers, they will get experience with construction only tax schemes and IFRS15 contract accounting. Key stakeholder relationships: Managing Director, Finance Manager, Estimators and PM's.
