Senior Accounts Assistant

Monday to Friday (Office based) 09:00-17:00

London SE12 8LG

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE)

Kamro has partnered with a well-established and respected accountancy practice based in South East London. They are looking to hire a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their collaborative and fast-paced finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice professional to take the next step in their career, working with a varied client base across different sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow monitoring.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns across multiple schemes.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
  • Preparation of Self-Assessment returns.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records and post journal entries.
  • Support the production of management accounts and financial reports.
  • Liaise directly with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide updates on their financials.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a UK accountancy practice.
  • AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/ACA.
  • Proficiency in Xero, IRIS, Sage, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues.
