Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accounts Assistant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns.

Description

  • Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Manage the rebate process.
  • Posting bank transactions.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations involving a high volume of transactions.
  • Analyse labour recovery/process costs for the Manufacturing site.
  • Analyse Freight costs.
  • Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost-overruns
  • Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives

Profile

A successful Senior Accounts Assistant should have:

  • AAT Qualified would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong background in Accounts Payable would be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills
