Senior Accounts Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a professional, competent, and dedicated Senior Accounts Administrator for a firm specializing in utilities and telecoms in Husbands Bosworth.

This position can be full-time or part-time. The office hours are Monday through Friday, with part-time hours typically from 9:00 to 15:00, three days per week.

Key Requirements
  • Proficiency in Xero Accounting is essential
  • Significant experience in accounts
  • Excellent communication skills for a fast-paced environment
  • High level of accuracy

You will report to the Accounts Manager and be based at our local office from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the sales ledger, including raising and entering approximately 30 invoices weekly
  • Process sales orders and purchase orders
  • Monitor outstanding payments and proactively chase overdue debts
  • Handle receipts and expenses
  • Perform bank reconciliations and manage the general ledger
  • Perform other daily accounts and office duties, including maintaining accurate files and data entry
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • A friendly, grounded, and trustworthy individual
  • Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with staff and external parties
  • Ability to learn new processes efficiently
  • Organized, timely, efficient, accurate, and committed to high standards
Experience Needed
  • Extensive accounts/finance experience
  • Proficiency with Xero Accounting
  • Proficient in Outlook and Excel
  • Experience in the utilities or telecoms sector is advantageous but not essential

This role may suit a Purchasing Assistant, Administrator, or Junior Accountant.
