The role is office-based with flexible core hours and involves owning a diverse client portfolio, preparing statutory accounts and tax returns, and coordinating day-to-day client communication.

You will manage accounts, support trainees, and maintain strong relationships with owner-managed businesses, all within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Extensive general practice experience within an accountancy firm (likely 10+ years).
• High level of competence in statutory accounts preparation and tax compliance for owner-managed businesses.
• Confident, personable communicator who excels in a client-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day workflow for a designated portfolio of small to medium owner-managed businesses.
• Serve as the primary client contact, handling queries, leading meetings, and building relationships.
• Prepare complex year-end statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax returns for Director review.
• Act as a senior figure in the office, mentoring trainees and junior staff.
