Job summary

Bond Williams is helping a well established Bournemouth practice recruit a Senior/Semi-Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of small business and personal tax clients. You’ll prepare year-end accounts, self assessments, and oversee junior staff, while building client relationships.

The role offers hybrid working after probation, a generous holiday allowance, and a bonus on bringing in new clients. Salary is £30,000–£45,000 DOE with free on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified ACCA or qualified by experience.
• Experience preparing accounts within an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing personal tax returns.
• Confident communicating with clients and leading meetings.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Prepare Self Assessment tax returns for a variety of clients.
• Review accounts and working papers for smaller clients and provide feedback to junior staff.
• Attend and lead client meetings, discussing accounts, tax matters, and business performance.
• Manage filing deadlines and maintain strong client relationships.
