Job summary

A Senior Accountant role is available at a growing accountancy practice in the UK. The position offers ownership of a varied client portfolio and close collaboration with senior management, with genuine long-term progression opportunities.

Key duties include preparing and reviewing accounts, tax computations for CT and personal tax, and providing proactive client advice. Hybrid working is available, with a 37.5-hour week and growth opportunities as the practice expands.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with relevant post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts, corporation tax and personal tax.
• Experience reviewing the work of junior staff/students.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact.
• Preparing and reviewing accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns.
• Providing clients with proactive advice and identifying opportunities to add value.
• Assisting with audit assignments where required.
• Reviewing the work of junior and semi-senior members of the team.
• Supporting senior management with advisory work and special projects.
• Attending client meetings and developing strong, long-term relationships.
• Contributing to the continued growth and development of the practice.

Education
