Job summary

Alexander Daniels partners with a well-established Accountancy Practice to recruit a Senior Accountant / Client Manager. You will manage a diverse SME portfolio, act as trusted advisor, and drive client relationships in a growing team.

You will oversee statutory accounts, management accounts, tax returns, and provide business advice while mentoring junior staff in a high-quality, client-focused environment.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience).
• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience managing a client portfolio.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• A proactive and commercial approach to client service.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of limited company, partnership, and sole trader clients.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
• Reviewing management accounts and bookkeeping work.
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients and responding to day-to-day queries.
• Advising clients on business performance, growth, and financial matters.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
• Identifying opportunities to add value and develop client relationships.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
