WH Finance Ltd in Barnstaple is seeking a Senior Accountant / Associate Partner who enjoys nurturing client relationships, supporting junior team members and taking ownership of a client portfolio. You will review junior work, prepare accounts for more complex clients and act as the day-to-day contact for clients.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing junior work and guiding staff.
• Experience preparing accounts for more complex clients.
• Strong client-facing skills and relationship management.
• Ability to manage own client portfolio and billing workflow.

Responsabilités

• Review juniors’ preparation work and provide guidance.
• Review accounts prior to partner sign-off and help prepare information for client meetings.
• Prepare accounts for complex clients from digital records.
• Act as day-to-day contact for clients, handling routine queries and building relationships.

My client is an independent, close-knit accountancy practice and due to continued growth they are now looking to recruit a Senior Accountant / Associate Partner who enjoys nurturing client relationships, supporting junior team members, and taking real ownership of their client portfolio.

What You'll Be Doing

• Reviewing juniors’ preparation work and providing support and guidance.
• Reviewing accounts prior to partner sign-off and helping prepare information for client meetings.
• Preparing accounts for more complex clients from well-maintained digital records.
• Acting as a day-to-day point of contact for your clients, handling routine queries and building strong relationships.
• Managing your own block of clients, including workflow, WIP, billing, and general file ownership alongside the partner.
• Growing into the role with opportunities for progression.
