Summary: We are seeking an in-house Accountant for full cycle accounting for two related companies. This role is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, a growth mindset, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

1. Manage full-cycle accounting for two sets of books
2. Prepare journal entries, bank and account reconciliations
3. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections
4. Preparation and reconciliation of government remittances (HST/WSIB/EHT)
5. Prepare monthly financial reports and maintain accurate records
6. Prepare budgets, forecasting and cash flow reports as required
7. Liaison & prepare year end working papers for external auditor

Requirements

1. Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field
2. CPA designation or equivalent
3. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience in manufacturing environment
4. Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office, (especially Excel)
5. Experience with multi-entity accounting is a strong asset
6. High attention to detail, well-organized, and reliable
7. Self-starter who can manage priorities and meet deadlines
8. Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle
