We are looking for a motivated and talented Senior Accountant to help us in running our day-to-day finance operations efficiently. The candidate will report directly to the Accounting Manager. We are a rapidly growing eCommerce company and are looking for people who are interested in using their experience to help us serve our customers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor and review AP aging reports to stay on top of company obligations.
2. Recording various employee expenses into Sage, updating expenses reports.
3. Review and prepare supplier and vendor reconciliations. Create summary approvals for directors.
4. Generate supplier statements by analyzing sales data and consolidating all claims and replacement records.
5. Assist on month end activities (supplier and payment processor reconciliations, accrual and prepaid workbooks, etc.)
6. Prepare lead sheets on a monthly basis to match with trial balance.
7. Assist with month end financial statement preparation and annual external audits.
8. Perform other related duties as required.
9. Preparing and filing Canadian Sales tax returns.
10. Managing US sales tax returns with third party advisors.
11. Monthly financial reporting by different business segments.
12. Other ad hoc projects.

Qualifications:

1. 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar role is an asset.
2. Completion of post-secondary Accounting Diploma/Degree.
3. Working towards professional accounting designation (CPA) is an asset.
4. Intermediate to high level knowledge of Excel and computer skills.
5. Self-motivated, Strong work ethics and positive attitude is a must.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to maintain accuracy in a deadline driven, fast-paced, high-volume environment.
8. Self-starter and ability to prioritize tasks.
9. Knowledge of Sage Intacct is an asset.
10. Self-motivation, Strong work ethics and passion for continuous learning.
11. Positive attitude is a must!
