We are recruiting a Senior Accountant in the Social Care Finance Department. The role involves overseeing and managing the GBP31.5m Home Care and Direct Payments budgets in Adults Social Care, including budget setting, in-year monitoring, and account closure. You will raise significant issues with senior management and recommend corrective actions.

You will advise services and managers on self-service, financial governance, and delegations, ensuring compliance with the Council’s financial regulations.

You will assist in providing professional financial advice and analysis to support strategic and Medium-Term Financial Strategy planning.

The role includes financial modelling for Home Care retendering and supporting ASC reform plans.

We support hybrid working with mobile IT and hot desk facilities. Professional supervision will be provided.
