Job Description: Senior Accountant

The chosen candidate will join an experienced Cornwall-based accountancy firm that specializes in providing bespoke accountancy, business, and financial advice tailored to each client.

With a diverse client base ranging from long-established PLCs, start-up businesses, to sole traders, the ideal Senior Accountant will manage a substantial client portfolio and lead a growing team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.

The Senior Accountant will perform a wide range of accounting duties, including:

1. Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships, LLPs, and Charities
2. Reviewing the work of junior team members
3. Liaising directly with clients
4. Tax computations
5. Assisting in workflow planning and management
6. Ad-hoc duties such as budgeting, forecasting, and due diligence

Reporting to and working alongside the Senior Partners, the successful candidate will have several years of experience in general accountancy within a public practice. They should be ACA/ACCA part-qualified or fully qualified, with excellent technical and organizational skills, and the ability to lead by example.
