A leading accounting firm is seeking an ACCA/ACA qualified accountant to join their team in Southend-on-Sea. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of practice experience and be adept at preparing accounts and handling tax work for limited companies and sole traders. This varied role also offers opportunities to assist with audit tasks and gain exposure to bookkeeping and payroll services.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA qualified with minimum 4 years of practice experience.
• Ability to prepare statutory accounts beyond trial balance.
• Knowledge of cloud-based bookkeeping software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
• Perform corporate and personal tax computations and returns.
• Assist with audit assignments as needed.

Job description

The ideal candidate will be ACCA/ACA Qualified with a good level of Practice experience, the role will be varied predominantly consisting of Accounts preparation and Taxation work. The clients you will be working with will be predominantly Limited companies and sole traders. Candidates who are at latter stages of qualification may also be considered for this opportunity.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Accounts Preparation for Limited companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships andLLPs
• Corporate and Personal Tax computations and returns
• Assisting on Audit assignments (previous experience and advantage but not necessary)
• Some bookkeeping, Payroll and VAT returns

Qualification/Skills

• ACCA / ACA qualified
• Ability to prepare statutory accounts beyond trial balance
• Knowledge of cloud based bookkeeping software
