Job summary

Xeinadin in Clevedon is seeking an Accounts Senior to provide high-quality accounting and advisory services to a diverse client portfolio. You will manage client accounts, prepare year-end accounts and tax computations, and ensure accurate financial reporting in line with regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate is a qualified (or part-qualified) practitioner with experience in practice, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering exceptional client

Qualifications

• Qualified (part-qualified) practice accountant (ACCA/ACA/AAT).
• Significant experience within an accountancy practice.
• Understanding of Self-Assessment Tax Return compliance.

Responsibilities

• Managing a dynamic portfolio of clients with accurate financial reporting and submissions.
• Prepare year-end accounts, Corporation Tax computations, VAT returns, and Confirmation Statements.
• Build and nurture relationships with clients as their trusted advisor.
• Mentor and support junior team members to develop professionally.
• Contribute to streamlined workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.

About the Role:

As an Accounts Senior, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality accounting and advisory services to our diverse client portfolio. This position demands an approachable and professional individual who understands client requirements and delivers exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a dynamic portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial reporting and submissions.
• Prepare the tax returns in accordance with Xeinadin's standard procedures.
• Preparation and submission of year-end accounts, Corporation Tax Computations, VAT Returns, and Confirmation Statements with precision and efficiency.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with both new and established clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
• Managing client expectations, arranging closing meetings to finalise accounts.
• Mentor and support junior team members, providing training and feedback to help them develop professionally.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure the quality of client files and audits is maintained to the highest standard.

Key Requirements:

• The successfully appointed individual will be a qualified (part-qualified) practice accountant (ACCA/ACA/AAT).
• Significant experience within an accountancy practice is essential.
• Understanding of individual Self-Assessment Tax Return compliance and completion.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Sage and QuickBooks).
