Accounts Senior – Financial Services Focus (FinTech)

Accounts Senior – FinTech-Focused Team | Central London | Hybrid

A dynamic and growing accounts team in Central London is seeking a qualified and technically strong Accounts Senior to join their high-performing FinTech division. This role has opened as part of a wider strategic push to develop and enhance the team’s offering in statutory accounts preparation for a diverse and growing client base.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent), capable of working independently across a portfolio of clients, and confident in managing end-to-end accounts preparation under FRS 102 1A. You will play a key role in elevating the quality of work delivered and will have the opportunity to grow into a supervisory position with scope to mentor junior team members.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Take full ownership of your own portfolio, preparing and reviewing statutory and management accounts.
• Act as the central point of contact for clients, delivering timely, accurate, and high-quality financial statements and commercial advice.
• Review and file VAT returns (if applicable) and support ad hoc tax compliance work.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, helping shape their professional development.
• Work closely with a highly experienced and supportive Senior Manager, while being trusted to operate independently once up to speed.
• Collaborate with a team who are proud to represent forward-thinking and often disruptive clients across FinTech, investment trading, and other innovation-led sectors (including a robotic restaurant group).
• Engage in continuous learning and process improvement, contributing ideas to strengthen the team’s delivery standards and client experience.

What They’re Looking For:

• ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 3 years of relevant UK experience.
• Solid technical knowledge of FRS 102 1A (essential).
• A strong background in statutory accounts preparation from start to finish.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior staff members – this doesn’t need to be extensive, but some leadership exposure is important.
• A diligent and focused mindset; someone who takes pride in their work and is motivated to deliver excellence.
• Industry exposure to FinTech, crypto, or e-commerce is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
