An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Accountant to join a growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice based in North London. This is an ideal role for a qualified or QBE accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing a varied client portfolio of SMEs and owner-managed businesses, supporting their growth while delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include:

  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP and FRS 102.
  • Corporation tax computations and submissions.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
  • Supporting partners with advisory and planning work.
  • Assisting with workflow management to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met.
The successful Senior Accountant:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience in a UK practice environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Iris (or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
