Job description

Exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our client, a Packaging Solutions company based in Littleborough on a full-time, permanent basis. The accountant will be responsible for managing and coordinating the accounting team and be the main point of contact for auditors, banks, and insurance brokers.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft management report shared with Supervisor
  • Support to tax advisor with tax returns
  • Manage payment proposals based on contractual due dates and planning of treasury.
  • Support the activities of local & Group Accounting & Controlling.
  • Train and develop Accounting Team.
  • Reference for external auditors, tax authorities, banking, and insurance brokers.
  • Support the local management team in issues of proper fiscal management.
Qualifications:
  • Good knowledge of ERP Systems (preferable QAD knowledge)
  • Good knowledge of Excel including Pivot Tables
  • Minimum of 7 years post-qualification work experience in accounting and finance.
  • Managing staff and proven organisational skills.
  • Working to SOX requirements (would be an advantage)
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of German (would be an advantage)
