Senior Accountant - Huddersfield

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our Accounts and Tax team within a rapidly growing Accountancy Practice based in Huddersfield. The successful candidate will work on a variety of clients, providing advisory on tax matters, accounting, forecasting, and other accounting services. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and a solid understanding of reporting standards for financial statements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of accounts and Corporation Tax Returns
• Preparation of Personal Tax Returns
• Preparation of management and partnership accounts
• Responding to client queries and attending meetings
• Assisting junior team members
• Preparing and reviewing complex financial statements
• Reviewing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Engaging with clients, directors, and business owners

Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA qualified with a strong practice background (ideally 1+ years PQE; finalists considered)
• Ability to manage workloads and team development
• Proficiency with IT and accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and IRIS
• Experience managing a diverse client portfolio and business development skills in accounts, tax, and advisory services
