Qualified Accountant – Practice (ACA/ACCA)

  • Annual Salary: £50,000- £65,000
  • Location: Haywards Heath (Hybrid Working Available)

Reed Crawley is working with a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Haywards Heath, which supports a diverse client base of over 600 limited companies and 1,200 personal tax clients. They are seeking a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant who is confident in a client-facing role and adept at both reviewing and hands-on tasks. This role offers a great opportunity for professional growth, including potential for Partner-level opportunities, within a firm that values work-life balance.

Day-to-day responsibilities
  • Review and sign off accounts and tax returns prepared by the team.
  • Provide proactive advice and support directly to clients.
  • Assist with the preparation of accounts and tax returns when required.
  • Support the team during busy periods, particularly around tax season.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and contribute to process improvements.
  • Support junior team members and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.
  • Confident in a client-facing role.
  • Comfortable reviewing and signing off work, as well as hands-on tasks.
  • Experience with accountancy software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, TaxCalc, and VT.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain high-quality service standards.
  • Proactive in providing advice and support to clients.
