Job summary

Lendable is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our management accounts and controllership function. This hands-on role covers monthly close for the UK group and requires ownership of critical balance sheet reconciliations and data accuracy.

You will collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to produce product-level P&Ls and support audits. Ideal candidates are ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with UK GAAP/IFRS knowledge, strong Excel skills, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset suitable

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 0-2 years PQE.
• Working knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Exposure to US GAAP is beneficial given the group's US operations.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our management accounts and controllership function. This is the team that delivers the monthly close for the UK group companies and owns the accuracy of what sits behind it.

We're a high-transaction-volume lending business scaling across the UK, US and Mexico. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own real deliverables early and help automate and improve the processes within the Financial Reporting team.

What you'll be doing/impact on objectives

• Deliver monthly close for the UK group companies, accurately and within set timelines
• Partner with the wider finance team and business stakeholders to prepare product-level P&Ls that support commercial decision-making, help with queries and month-end inputs
• Taking ownership, and automating, balance sheet reconciliations Month on Month, whilst applying an inquisitive mindset by being able to identify and investigate variances and unusual data trends
• Assisting with the preparation of the consolidated balance sheet, P&Ls and cash flow
• Work with high volumes of data from different sources and compiling, consolidating and reconciling this data to be used and relied upon in month end reports
• Support continuous improvement of financial controls and policies
• Assist with annual audit preparation, including supporting schedules and auditor queries

What we're looking for

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 0-2 years PQE
• Working knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS
• Exposure to US GAAP is beneficial given the group's US operations
• Strong Excel skills for high-volume ledger and reconciliation work
• Meticulous and deadline-driven, suited to a fast-paced, high-transaction-volume environment
• Collaborative, hands-on style rather than a purely technical or advisory orientation
• Comfortable supporting continuous improvement of financial controls and policies rather than operating a static process

• Remote case study task with a 3-5 day deadline
• 45 minute remote team Interview to discuss your task and dive deeper into your experience
• Final stage Onsite interview with finance leadership
