Job summary

JERA Nex bp, headquartered in London, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take full ownership of end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of legal entities within the group. This hands-on role covers transactional processing through statutory reporting and audit management.

You will work in the Accounting team within the Finance department of a multinational organisation, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and driving process improvements in a fast-growing offshore wind company.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting, finance or related field.
• Strong IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with VAT and CIT in the UK; transfer pricing exposure a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive approach to process improvement and automation.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy and strong ethics.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting for assigned legal entities, including invoice posting/payments, accruals, month-end close and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage intercompany accounting, funding transactions, and acquisition-related bookkeeping.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax returns.
• Support transfer pricing documentation and calculations.
• Perform payroll accounting and service invoice creation.
• Manage accounts receivable, cash management and liquidity planning.
• Prepare UK statutory financial statements (UK GAAP) and support IFRS group reporting.
• Lead statutory audit management and support group audit requirements.
• Identify and drive process improvements and automation within accounting.

In this role you will:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take full ownership of end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of legal entities within the group. This is a hands-on, "a-z" role covering everything from transactional processing through statutory reporting and audit management.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting for assigned legal entities, including invoice posting/payments, accruals, month-end close and reconciliations

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

• Manage intercompany accounting, funding transactions, and acquisition-related bookkeeping

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.

• Support transfer pricing documentation and calculations

• Perform payroll accounting and service invoice creation

• Manage accounts receivable, cash management, and liquidity planning

• Prepare UK statutory financial statements (UK GAAP) and support IFRS group reporting

• Lead statutory audit management and support group audit requirements

• Identify and drive process improvement and automation opportunities within the accounting function

• Implement and maintain effective internal controls.

To be successful in the role you will bring:

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a comparable professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field

• Strong proficiency in Excel and SAP S/4HANA

• Solid working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to process improvement/automation

• Experience with VAT and CIT processes in a UK context is essential; transfer pricing exposure a plus

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

• Strong ethical standards and integrity.
