Job summary

JERA Nex bp in London is seeking an experienced Accountant to take full ownership of end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of legal entities within the group. This is a hands-on, "a-z" role covering everything from transactional processing through statutory reporting and audit management.

You will work with a multinational team, ensure IFRS compliance, manage VAT and CIT, and drive process improvements and internal controls across the finance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and SAP S/4HANA.
• Solid working knowledge of IFRS; knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) is a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and proactive process improvement/automation.
• Experience with VAT and CIT processes is essential.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
• Manage accounts receivable, cash management, and liquidity planning
• Prepare statutory financial statements in cooperation with local in-country support
• Lead statutory audit management and support group audit requirements for your respective entities
• Identify and drive process improvement and automation opportunities within the accounting function
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls.

In this role you will:

To be successful in the role you will bring:
